Law enforcement agencies in Richlands, North Carolina, are investigating a shooting reported Sunday afternoon near Luther Banks Road and Gregory Fork Road, according to the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 3:27 p.m. on December 28 after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. Authorities confirmed that three individuals were critically injured during the incident. Further details about their conditions have not been released.

The shooting reportedly occurred near LGM Church on Luther Banks Road. Law enforcement officers remain on scene and continue to actively search for the suspect involved in the incident. Officials have identified the suspect as Craig North, who is believed to be driving a black Cadillac Escalade with dealer tags.

In a public safety notice, the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office urged residents to avoid the area while the investigation and search for the suspect continue.

“Deputies are investigating a shooting in the area of Luther Banks Road and Gregory Fork Road,” the sheriff’s office stated. “Law enforcement is currently on scene and continuing the search for the suspect. Please avoid the area. Updates will be shared as soon as possible.”
