Boone County Community is mourning the loss of 21-year-old Jordan Perry, whose passing has brought deep sadness to loved ones in Greenwood and beyond. She died following a single-vehicle crash on November 29, 2025, leaving family and friends searching for comfort during an incredibly difficult time.

Around 5:09 p.m., Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of US 421 and County Road 100 N after reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway. When first responders arrived, they found a blue pickup truck that had veered off the road in weather-related conditions, struck a tree, and caught fire. Despite the swift efforts of emergency crews, Jordan sustained critical injuries.

She was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical teams worked urgently, but she was later pronounced deceased. News of her passing has deeply affected those who knew her, bringing sorrow to the communities connected to her life and journey.

Jordan Perry is remembered as a vibrant young woman with dreams, passions, and a warm, caring spirit. At just twenty-one, she had already made an impact on many through her kindness, thoughtfulness, and ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Loved ones describe her as compassionate, hardworking, and someone who naturally lifted the spirits of the people near her.

Her passing has left a profound void for her family, who continue to navigate the heartbreak of losing a daughter far too soon. Friends are holding onto treasured memories—moments of laughter, achievements shared, and everyday experiences that now carry an even deeper meaning.

The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) is overseeing the investigation, as is standard in fatal incidents. Authorities will continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash and will release additional details as they become available. For now, the focus remains on remembering Jordan and supporting her loved ones through their grief.

As the community reflects on this tragedy, many are also honoring Jordan’s life—her joy, her ambitions, and the positive impact she made. Though her time was short, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

    Rest peacefully, Jordan Perry.
